I really enjoy this series. I let it sit for a while. and returning after a year or two has allowed me to binge through a couple more at once. I will take another short break to burn through some library books but look forward to reading the next couple.

I'll admit. At first, this was a slow starter that worked hard to tie up loose ends. I had the feeling by the middle of the book that it was a bridge between two better works. I had, at that point, decided on a slightly *gasp* lower rating. Then, all insanity broke loose. For that, I am very grateful. I appreciate the build-up from the first part of the book after finishing. And I'm still scratching my head over that last paragraph.
**PS** If you are like me, and a fanatic over R.C. Bray's audiobook performance of these stories, you have to listen past the end. The blooper reel at the end is Awesome! Even if Skippy says so.

About the Book: Joe Bishop used the elder weapons card on the hostile aliens that would wipe out any life in the universe, this way everyone loses, so everyone has incentive to behave. Doing so he assumed Earth would be safe. Well… Safe-ish. They’re still going with the beta site plan, just in case. And… Well, he he, you’re not going to like where this is going.
My Opinion: Of course it’s good. By now, does anyone expect any less? The book is packed with tension, explosions, more tension, some hope to keep you reading, great humor, and utter dread for every character ever.
