First published in 1997, reissued a handful of times since then—the edition I have is from 2005—and still, tragically, one of the best available English-language sources compiling Chinese women's poetry from the 20th century.

This is the chronological sequel to the previous volume, also edited by Amy Dooling, which focused more on the early 20th century. This the second volume goes further along the timeline, and was originally published in 2005; in that same year the first volume was republished (incidentally in the edition I personally have). An excellent scholarly anthology.

Both the biographies and the stories are very interesting.
