Let me start by saying that Dick Greyson/Nightwing has always been my favorite character from the Batman universe.
This shows Nightwing, the Batman prodigy, in his home city of Bludhaven when Haly's circus comes back through town. Haly's is the circus where Dick used to work, and where his parents where murdered. So, it is a homecoming of sorts, as well as an introduction to a flame from the past. Meanwhile, a hired killer is also in Bludhaven to kill the 'hero' of Nightwing. The story follows Dick as he fights to survive while at the same time trying to figure out who is after him. The greatest moment of this bound series is when the final chapter aligns with the Court of the Owls series from the new 52 Batman series. Gathering together the loose threads made this such a great read for me.
Well worth the time and investment in reading if you are a Batman universe fan or a fan of Nightwing.

Let me just say this review is definitely a bit bias because nightwing has always been my favourite superhero, so I was going to enjoy it regardless. I really enjoy the action in this book, but a lot of the social drama stuff was a bit too slow for me. The court of owls tie in is obviously really cool too! I will continue to read this run, but I do hope it picks up a bit more on the action rather than the relationship stuff.
