Kia é uma personagem incrível, que já tinha conhecido em Ginga. Ler algo em primeira pessoa, do ponto de vista dela, é incrível — pontoS de vista, aliás, porque a história meio que alterna lembranças do passado (ela com 10 anos) e a narrativa no presente (ela com 17 anos). Curto como o autor investe da mitologia sobre espíritos e coisas do gênero, é interessante e perturbador na medida certa. Gosto também como tudo o que li dele até o momento traz diversidade da maneira que precisa ser, leve e natural. E a leitura é curtinha, vale demais.

This was such a beautiful story. Older's prose are unlike anything I've ever read. His read like music and it puts me at ease. I feel comfortable when I read his work.
