I really enjoyed this book. It was very entertaining and I felt myself getting very attached to the characters. Love my girl Camila. I did feel like it was missing some sort of intense climatic moment but overall very good. Taylor Jenkins Reid is slowly becoming one of my favorite authors. Pop off queen

Kind of aimless. The end/tribute to a character kind of makes it better but I was sort of bored.

I did NOT enjoy how this book was read. I didn’t like the characters coming in with one line quips. It was jarring and not funny and felt like it was trying way too hard. I finished only because of sunk cost  fallacy.

I loved this novel and I’m so happy I finally read it after watching the tv series and putting it off for too long. I would love to re-read this as an audiobook because I’ve heard it’s great and I think the narrative interview style would lend itself to work well in an audiobook format.  I know the novel is loosely based off of Fleetwood Mac but TJR is a master when it comes to immersive storytelling, world building, and creating characters that have depth, heart, and complexity. Personally I liked the fake songs at the end because you can tell that TJR put an immense amount of time, heart, and thought into this book. I wish that Simone had more of a plot line in the novel but I’m happy that they gave her more of a story and characterization in the tv series. Ultimately, I spent the entire novel wanting Billy and Daisy to be together so bad but I feel like they would literally destroy and break each other because they are too similar in most ways but their chemistry is off the charts. This novel is so immersive and informative with the band, their ups and downs, and their reflection of the past that it really makes you wish that they were a real band. Such a fun fast paced read that I can see myself picking up again in the future. Highly recommend!
