It started Out slower than the First book and the last 100 pages I felt a bit stressed because a lot seemed unresolved but I absolutely loved it! Just wish I got more of the characters. Would like a third book, but it really was a nice series that I will reread.

I enjoyed this very much, better than the first book I think. Still a few lack lustre moments but still pretty good.

Overall, I liked our growth in story and characterization (aka I felt less at arms length with our characters than in book one). Plus that ending and the magik system! I can not wait to see what Amanda Joy comes up with in the future.
I received an ecopy of this through netgalley; however, all opinions are my own.

Not quite as good as the first book, felt like it was just an ending rather than a book in its own right. I was still very invested in the characters and its a great ending.

I'm not sure. In a way I really liked It but the slow build didn't really lead anywhere and the resolution was rushed. This series would have benefitted from a third book to explore the themes and characters. Isadore's character development was interesting but the climax of the sister resolution was literally glossed over.
