It just seems like a series of stuff kept going back and forth, and in the end... I have no idea what happened. In fact, I'm not sure I got what was happening in the middle either. Granted, this could partly be me (I often miss a lot of things), buuuuuut? Yeah. Trying too hard to be philosophical, and making no sense. I'd like it if they at least ended letting you in on what the hell Green Wake was supposed to be or why it was even called that.

Again: Art fantastic, story.. horror-meh.

This is my second pass through the entire Green Wake series. It was my favorite comic book when I read it, and it is still my favorite now. I think that a lot of that has to do with the honest and heartbreaking nature of the content. It is masked by a horror-ified noir setting, but at the end of the day it is a really solid look at the author's "self".

It is a little sad that the series run ended early, but I think that it is also a good thing. The story is tight and the feelings are raw and sometimes misplaced, or misunderstood. It feels real.
