Further development of the Doctor's and Charley's relationship/friendship.

Develops the damage done to Time by the paradox of Charley's survival, and leaps between 1930s Singapore, Roman Britain, the court of Edward the Confessor (where we find out rather bizarrely that the Eighth Doctor once got engaged to his queen, Edith) and the Hell Fire club of the mid-18th century. I loved the Roman and Saxon bits, though was a little less convinced by the hell-fire club. The priest in the temple of Mithras reading the parish announcements was a beautiful little scene which also tipped me off to the authors being Paul Cornell and his wife Caroline Symcox.

Excellent premise. While what ultimately comes of the question posed of the Doctor against another immortal isn't as interesting as how the story starts this is an excellent addition.

Both Paul McGann and India Fisher are one fire performance wise and the writing is clever while proposing interesting developments to the central premise.

Great addition to the Doctor Who Audio Collection.

Ashildr before there was Ashildr, with the ultimate baddies being the beloved Fourth Doctor joke-villains [REDACTED]! What's not to love?

At first blush a little too simple. But a heck of a lot of fun, nonetheless. The Doctor and Charlie bopping through time chasing "his oldest enemy, "pans out to be fast paced, clever and extends the "Charlie should not exist" premise in a wonderful way.
Also, if you were to list all your favorite Doctor Who monsters and pick which one you would most want to be revived, this one would not be in your top 30. But I defy you not to giggle when they show up.

This one was funnier than some of the others, and it ended on a cliffhanger. Definitely recommend.
