This was, by far, the best contemporary fiction I've read in quite some time!

I must admit, I was a little skeptical of the plot when I first read about it. I wasn't quite sure how the author would make an entire novel based upon that summary, while keeping things moving and keeping it interesting.

But guys, she did it! Boy, did she do it!

I would like to note that there was a touch of sin of the intimate nature alluded to, but I would also like to mention that this was done as tactfully as I have ever seen done. For that, I applaud Amanda Mason! Without going into details and ruining the story, I will say that without this indiscretion the story would have turned out much different and I wouldn't have been quite as satisfied with the resolution. But again, it was barely alluded to and handled very well. I would definitely call it highly appropriate despite this one scene I've mentioned.

I really loved that the author put a very applicable Bible verse at the beginning of each chapter. That was a fabulous touch!

I also really loved the characters. Not a one of them was perfect, nor did they claim to be. They all had their struggles and they were able to learn from them and move on. I loved the small-town feel and the faith these people had. It was a refreshingly down-to-earth read. Highly recommended!

All in all, it was a sweet story filled with faith, hope, and a touch of love! It is an inspiration to examine your character, own up to your faults, and work on improving yourself. It is a reminder to never take things for granted, never lose focus of what is truly important in life, and always cling to your faith in the Lord!

Thank you, Amanda, for giving me a complementary copy in exchange for an honest review!
