Amanda Eyre Ward is an incredible story-teller. I always find myself falling in love with the characters and not wanting the book to end, yet I can't tear myself from it either. Another stellar read; I will be waiting (not-so) patiently for the next one.

This one had all sorts of problems in my opinion.
I'll sum it up with 3 words: Bad Lifetime Movie

3.5 ⭐ This book was absolutely not what I was expecting but I really enjoyed it! This story follows the story of Lauren who navigates her reality of her father killing her mother throughout her life with her brother as her biggest supporter. She goes on to discover that her brother has been communicating with their father and researching and investigating his mother's murder under the belief that his father is innocent. There are twists and turns and surprises. Some of it is somewhat hard to follow, but all comes together at the end.

Fun to read, but really dumb.

This does not read like a fourth novel by an established writer. There are some good morsels, but there are as many distracting inconsistencies and loose ends as there are obviously manipulated portions.

A good "beach read". Fairly predictable, nothing very clever about it. But an easy, care-free read for vacation.
