As with all the IPB books, I did enjoy reading this. It was easy and quick to digest. However, I found myself a bit frustrated with Tiffany. She was callous in her neutrality, and her public dismissal of Salukh after he had been nothing but sweet was just too much.

Plus, Salukh was a little too much of a slob for my liking, but I appreciate that there are at least very distinct personalities.

Best  of the 2.5s, but still eh. It's decent, but I just didn't FW the couple, I don't think.

Tiffany spends a lot of time struggling with her trauma from being SA'd on the alien ship, and I honestly kind of like how she still kind of struggles with it even after falling in love with Saluhk, which might sound messed up, but. BUT ALSO I hate how it IS kind of cured after she gets that D. Idk, it makes sense but also it doesn't, but also this is a novella smut book so I shouldnt expect nuanced takes on mental illness/trauma.

I digress. It is pretty decent though, I must reiterate. I like how patient Saluhk is with her. These men being so respectful is the only thing keeping me sane,,

This is one of my favorite Ice Planet Barbarian books. Salukh is so kind and observant and caring. He truly wants to be with Tiffany because she’s Tiffany, and not just because he wants a mate, any mate, or because he wants the “prize” of winning the prettiest girl as his partner. I really felt for Tiffany as the recipient of unwanted male attention that everyone else felt she should find flattering, when in fact it scares her to death, and for good reason. Readers should know going in that Tiffany is struggling with the trauma of sexual assault at the hands of the aliens who kidnapped her. She has nightmares about that event, and while the attack is not depicted in explicit detail it may be triggering for some people.
