Good Book, I got through the whole thing in my car (audio book) and it was 18 discs. It kept me interested, but it, at times seemed pretty long.

Thank you, Jane, for sharing your story in the context of the systems of oppression of white supremacy culture throughout the decades of your life so far.  I grew in my own reflection, empowerment, and leadership while listening to your storytelling and I am grateful for this book.

This book is essential reading for anyone who is mid-life, looking to sort out and make sense of a collection of life experiences. There's so much more to Jane Fonda than her Hanoi visit, movies and the workout video. Her review of her life (stunning detail, but then again we all didn't grow up with the press dogging our every move) conveys many serious moments and questions, but she also shares incredible 1:1 moments with Greta Garbo and Katharine Hepburn.

If you follow the podcast Advanced TV Herstory, stay tuned for a robust discussion on this book to post in Fall 2020.

Either you like Jane Fonda or not, this book is such an incredible listen. Beautiful self reflection which will make you embark on your own self reflective journey. I didn't want it to end...

I thought this was an honest touching autobiography. I read this having no strong feelings about Jane Fonda either way. I related to her in some ways as a mother juggling life, as a daughter wanting to please, and as a wife. I think she was sincere when acknowledging her mistakes.
