I would not have predicted giving this book four stars for at least the first half. I had trouble getting into it, but am very glad I was persistent. It's very subtle, right down to the title, but it has deep hooks. A review I saw said it's a book that gets better the more one thinks about it, and I can definitely see that being the case. I've read more than one thing about the Tudors lately, but I still found myself in suspense at times. I definitely recommend it.

This is a book that you have to take your time with you can’t just blast through it it took some time for me to get used to the perspective it was written in- A book that demands your full attention looking to read the next one already
