I loved this book! This was my first book club pick and it led to some good conversation. I loved the ending. The story was fast-paced, romantic, it kept my attention, and it has stayed with me since I finished it.

“There’s something almost miraculous about seeing a child’s eyes light up when you hand him a book that intrigues him. I’ve always thought that it’s those children—the ones who realize that books are magic—who will have the brightest lives.”

I really enjoyed this read, despite parts of it being probably unrealistic to reality, it is fiction and it showed a new piece of WWII that I hadn't learned anything about in the past. Some of the characters didn't really progress in the learning or personality, but the plot kept things moving along. (Read for Central Book Club)
