Not awful, but too silly. The world building is a bit confusing as modern Earth exists, but the book is mostly set on a different planet. Strangely one of the leaders are also in rock group on Earth. 

The MC is supposed to be 24, but seems like a teenager. She’s got lots of special abilities but she doesn’t even know how special she is. Only the male MC sees her specialness. Gah, no thanks. He’s 1000 years old, and somehow reads like he’s a 25 year old flirting with his 19 year old student.

I read this book so fast! I thought it would be smut city, but it really isn't (which is what I personally prefer). I enjoyed the way magic works in this book too <3 highly reccomend!
