I liked this one a lot more than the first one. I absolutely was not expecting that cliffhanger at the end.

I didn't see that last twist coming for sure!! I kinda called Emma being Darkestmind before she spoke up as well as Knox and Phoebe getting together at the end but it was still an enjoyable read. And I like that the characters of book 1 came back but didnt take up most of the story. Overall fun but somewhat predictable.

i was super excited for this book bc “one of us is lying” was the book that got me back into reading and i really liked it. the first disappointing thing about this book is that the main characters of the first book are side characters in this one which i was sad about. although they were side characters we do get little parts with them in it throughout the book, thankfully. the second disappointing thing about this book is how slow the beginning is. i almost stopped reading the book half way through because it was slow and not holding my attention. but i kept pushing through hoping for a better ending. the ending was good, i didn’t see the plot twist coming but there was a cliffhanger at the end which i am not the happiest about bc now i have to read the third book which i wasn’t planning on doing
