This book started with the main character making a questionable decision with good intentions and spiralled into a whole mess that threatened to ruin her life. Since I was reading this on my Kobo, I didn't know how much was left. At one point, I thought we were edging towards a conclusion and then things went in a whole other direction I didn't expect. I enjoyed this one and the ride it took me on.

Another great story by Tom Bale. [b:Each Little Lie|35224842|Each Little Lie|Tom Bale|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1495746657s/35224842.jpg|56568748] is a plot-driven novel with likeable characters. It is very hard not to cheer for Jen, whose life turns into a living nightmare after trying to help an acquaintance. There are plenty of twists and turns, and it kept my interest throughout.

(Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the review copy!)

I have read a few of the authors books and enjoyed them, this one was no different. The story shows how someone's life can spiral out of control from something small.

Jen finds her life becoming like something out of a nightmare, and she has to dig deep to find the strength to keep going from day to day. However, all is not as it seems as she tries to find out what exactly is going on. What she discovers will not only shock her to the core, but will put her directly in the path of danger.

There are twists and turns throughout the story, and the author takes the reader on a journey which is non stop from the very beginning. Another great read from the author.

Many thanks to Bookouture and Netgalley for providing a copy.

Gosh I was super excited to hear Tom Bale had a new book coming out, having read See How They Run and All Fall Down and loving them I couldn’t wait to get reading Each Little Lie.
Jen Cornish, single mum to Charlie is on her way to work one day when a man she see’s regularly on her travels drops his keys. Jen then makes a decision that will not only put herself in danger but her son Charlie too and all she thought she was doing was a good deed.
Tom Bale has a way of taking a really simple situation, one that many people could find themselves in and turning it into something quite terrifying. I put myself in Jen’s situation and asked myself what I would do? Would I have done things differently? Yes I probably would have and I was willing Jen to make the right decision but her decision then turns into a terrifying tale that had me totally gripped and turning the pages as fast as I could.
Jen was a likeable character, a single mum going through a messy divorce and trying to do her best for her son Charlie. I couldn’t help feeling the fear Jen was feeling as she goes through the ordeal that she does but her determination to find out why really made her quite interesting and I found myself really fitting along with Jen to reveal the truth.
As the story develops the suspense builds and I was questioning each character, I had everyone pegged at some point as being involved in Jen’s downfall. My little brain was just whirring with possibilities and theories but Tom Bale doesn’t make it easy for readers to figure out and it wasn’t until nearer the end everything fell into place and by that point I think I may have turned blue from holding my breath so many times.
Tom Bale has written another cracker here with Each Little Lie. It’s full of suspense and tension and it gives you goose bumps.  It’s a real page turner involving lies and manipulation with a plot that just draws you in from the beginning. It really is a cracker and one I highly recommend.

Each Little Lie by Tom Bale.

Each Little Lie by Tom Bale is a twisty story of lies and deception.  Jen is just an ordinary single mom, when suddenly extraordinary things begin happening to her.

One day, Jen sees a man drop his keys in the grass just before his ride picks him up.  Jen grabs the keys and flags the car down, but no avail... it was gone.  And now she is left with the conundrum of what to do with the keys and how to safely get them back to the owner.

The innocent, though not the brightest, decision she makes leads her life toward a path she never thought she'd walk.

Each Little Lie was my first book by Tom Bale.  What a great read. There is one hell of a screwed up family in this book!  So if you like messed up families, here's another to add to your TBR pile.

Jen, oh Jen.

It is so surreal to me that one day you can be enjoying your life, and the next it falls apart.  I suppose that is the basis of many psychological thrillers, however, it was very overt in Each Little Lie.  Jen thought she was doing a good deed and bam... all heck breaks loose.

At first, I wasn't fond of Jen.  I thought the way she chose to deal with the lost keys wasn't the brightest idea.  I didn't realize in the beginning how bad things were going to get.  So when the first consequence came, I rolled my eyes and thought, "Told you so."

But then things spiraled down a black hole of badness and I found myself rooting for her.  Whew.

Jen had the weight of so much on her shoulders.  With stress to the guilds, Jen's fear, anxiety, and sadness ran the whole gamut of what anyone would feel.  But she persevered and did everything she needed to do.  I was very proud of her character.

Each Little Lie gets 4 brightly glowing stars from me.

Thank you bookouture, netgalley, and Tom Bale for an advanced copy of your book. My review is honest and unbiased.

I’m being generous. The actions of our MC are ridiculous to the point of unbelievable. However, I kept reading so it must’ve held my interest.

The blurb for this book sounded great and I was really looking forward to reading it. Sadly however I struggled with this book and found myself skimming through it towards the end to finish it . I found the main character extremely annoying and struggled to feel any sort of empathy for her. The story was too drawn out. Sorry but not for me .

My thanks to the publisher Bookouture and Tom Bale for an advanced E Copy, my review is based on my own honest opinion .

Super predictable

Wanted to enjoy it but it was way too predictable. Not at all suspenseful. Sorry. I hate leaving negative reviews, it's not like I've written a book.

*** I received an advanced e-copy from Net Galley in exchange for my honest review

You have heard the phrase " no good deed goes unpunished"? Well, Jen finds that out the hard way. What begins as a simple good deed turns her & her son Charlie's lives upside down. This book kept me captivated from beginning to end. It is full of twists and turns and it will have you rooting for Jen and actively disliking some other pivotal characters. This book is a must read for everyone who loves books that reel you in and make you not want to put them down until you have turned the final page.

I am a big fan of Tom Bale’s books so I was thrilled to be able to read and review Each Little Lie as part of the blog tour.

Each Little Lie focuses on Jen, and her son Charlie. One day, Jen finds a set of keys on her neighbours lawn, and ends up setting herself on a very treacherous course. When Jjen is arrested for a crime she did not commit, it becomes a race against time to get those she loves to believe her, and to clear her name.

Tom Bale has a gift for turning the innocuous, normal and ordinary life decisions into something far more sinister than one would expect. I’ve said that before, and I stand by it, especially after reading Each Little Lie. Everyday decisions are turned into something completely different, and it goes to show that a having a good moral compass doesn’t always work in your favour. The fallout is what keeps the reader turning those pages!

Each Little Lie is a compulsive age-turner, with elemetns of a psychological thriller combined with a hefty dose of humanity. It is gripping, and more than a little scary in the sense that the author can essentially ruin a person’s life between the pages.

I look forward to each new Tom Bale book, and I am never disappointed!

Highly recommended!
