Started reading on my kindle but transitioned to audio book to listen to while I crochet.

Good addition to the first but felt like a slow filler to help progress some characters but mainly set up for the third installment. Loved the introduction of new characters and further development of favorites from the first. I also appreciated seeing how Reid
grieved over the loss of the Archbishop
and how that impacted his decisions. I found Lou quite annoying in this book honestly, but maybe that was the author’s intention to show how she was developing or for the redemption arch later on.

The overall plot was weak in my opinion. I didn’t find it that interesting, and it just felt very drawn out. Hoping Gods and Monsters is more enjoyable.
