Diane Chamberlain is a new author to me who writes an emotionally engaging story, richly detailed, with plenty of intrigue, secrets and lies. I found it to be a thought provoking mystery with serious issues involving art, abuse, racism, misogyny, justice, prejudice, personal demons and mental health. I absolutely loved the dual timeline story, and quickly became completely immersed in the challenging lives of both women that were equally enthralling right to the very end.

Ook een heerlijk boek maar het kan niet op tegen het andere boek dat ik had gelezen van Diane Chamberlain. In dit boek zitten vooral aan het einde de plot twists al waren ze wel wat voorspelbaarder. De vermoedens die ik had kwamen toch ook wel uit. Ik vind het fijn als een boek een sterke vrouwelijke hoofdrol heeft. In dit boek kwamen veel sterke vrouwen voor. Al met al ook echt genoten van dit boek.

Amazing story of two powerful women that just had awful things happen to them. It kept me interested throughout the entire book no slow parts just great story telling! 10/10 recommend to all my friends
