I started reading this without realizing it was several books into a series, but it was still enjoyable

The best one so far. The red thread throughout the books shows clearly in this one and the greater reason for every betrayal is finally told. The ideas are still good and there are even some novel ideas in this one.
Overall this world turns out much more enjoyable than expected in the first one.
