Dreamy and lyrical but without ever straying from clear images. I’m so impressed by Kitaiskaia’s ability to play with language and generously use adjectives while staying so poignant. I was also delighted with moments of plainer-language, personal directness that occasionally appear in this tale-y and surreal collection and never seem out of place. Moving and delightful!

PS: The cover design is also wonderful.
