Fiona goes undercover to suss out a huge business swindle and finds that, for better or worse, she enjoys being someone else. Of course, sometimes she's not sure which Fiona is the "real" one... It's nice to see her doing well professionally, since her default setting tends to get her into trouble. And a sad surprise at the end, although probably for the best.
SpoilerWhich is to say that she breaks up with Buzz just when things seemed to be going well, but she wisely understands that Planet Normal is still not her home.

Fiona Griffiths is one of the most unique characters of any book I've ever read. She has a rare condition called "Cotard's Syndrome" which is both a help and a danger to Fiona as she goes undercover to help solve her latest case. I have read all three of the books in this series. People new to the series are given enough background to enjoy this book, but I think reading at least the first book would give readers more insight into Fiona's condition and how far she has come since the beginning of the series. I hope the series continues, because I love Fiona and can't wait to see what happens next in both her personal and professional life.

Each of these books gets better. This one, surely, should be made into a film. Undercover Fiona...loved it!

I was struggling to finish this one.
The story is intriguing and exciting but temporarily dull; I love the character of Fiona Griffiths and enjoyed the last two books of this series. In this book, it was too evident that the female character was written by a man - a lot of internalised misogyny, which was just annoying.
In addition, some parts felt racially insensitive.
Overall I was very disappointed and will most likely not continue to read the series.
Maybe I am just over men writing female characters.

At sea because I'd finally run out of Ruth Galloway books to read! For some reason this was only $2.50 on amazon, yes reader, I BOUGHT IT. Fiona and her Welsh murder squad are still delightful but this one is different. Did you like The Likeness? You will like this book.

This one is a little tedious. Still good reading,
but the novel relates Fiona's adventure
undercover for a whole year and, I'm sorry,
but alot of that is just too much information.
