Ben Pechey: writes a book about living in gleeful authenticity as nonbinary ppl and not catering to other peoples desires or expectations

*Thank you NetGalley for providing me an eARC, in exchange for an honest review*
To be real the narrator/author irritated me with all the ‘babe’ and stuff, that is just something that makes me ick and gag, which made it extremely difficult to read the book.
The rest of the book was fine, but on another level that I thought it would be. This book would be fine for a teenager to read when they’re struggling to figure out their identity, but I don’t think it would help a grown up all that much, it didn’t go into depth like I thought it would.
But I am just an ally, so I cannot be certain, that was just my opinion on the book.

I always meant to gift it to a friend once I visited and I didn't manage to finish it in time. But honestly I also didn't enjoy how it was written, although it was interesting.

Written with good intentions and probably an important first book for a younger audience but I just didn’t love the way it was written at all. Still, nice to see this kind of work even if not for me.
