Thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved how the authors brought in such a diverse range of folklore as the cast travels around the world on their quest, and how much diversity the characters themselves showed. Each had their own unique and believable voice, and I quickly found that I could keep track whose POV a chapter was written in without glancing to see at the chapter start.
Both authors blend their style perfectly - reads as if written by one person than two, and the action in the climax left me glued to my e-reader, anxious to see how things would play out.
There were a few (very minor) typos, but I only noticed them in passing and could get back into the story quick enough. Only other complaint? I'd love to jump into this world again, though I feel safe in saying it's written as the perfect stand alone.
Will certainly be checking out more of Cook and Perkins' works!
