I received a copy of this book through First Reads in exchange for an honest review.

Each of the 7 stories had a distinct feel, from the dreamy fantasy of a brush with a stranger to the urgent, passionate love-making of a long-term couple. Of the seven stories, only two weren't entirely my cup of tea due to the content, however I think this is pretty good going as erotica is a pretty personal genre.

All of the stories were well written (none induced either the anger or awkward squirming that books such as 50 Shades have) and the 5 I enjoyed were really darn hot.

DNF'd at about sixty percent and then went back to read the last few chapters.

I think this could've been a really cool book but it just didn't age well for two reasons

1) Frequent use of the slur towards romani people combined with the problematic mystical foreigner trope

2) Humphrey clearly has an unnamed developmental disability and all the other characters are really cruel to him about it. He's never mentioned in a positive light despite being the sole breadwinner of the family
