Third book in the series featuring Nick Hardin.  After leaving service, Nick arrives back in Rocksalt, Kentucky for a brief visit to his sister Linda, the local sheriff.  The action starts when Linda is injured and Johnny Boy deputizes Nick to help with an investigation. While this novel could be read as a stand-alone, recommend starting the series from beginning.  Definitely will look for more Nick Hardin in future.  Great read.

I love me some Mick Hardin & Co! This was a great ride and I love how Mick gets caught up in solving murders and making things right, even when he just keeps trying to be "retired"! I can't wait to see how things devolve for him in the next installment in the series!
