I’m rereading all the books I own, and this one is so small but really manages to pack a punch. I’ve read it quite a few times throughout my life, and each time this quick little read has absolutely filled me with emotion. I think it’s possible that it even helped influence little me to want to foster older kids and teenagers when I got older (I’m not a foster parent yet, but I plan to be in a year or two). All in all, a very emotional read.
