I enjoyed this book. The character development was very good and I really came to know them.

Blah. So glad to be done with this one. I only finished it because I wanted to see what would happen. It was by an Irish writer...about a woman who disappears and various people who are trying to find her...

I didn't particularly like the characters--most of them didn't seem to have any morals--and in fact I didn't feel as if I really got to understand them at any rate. The writing was just not very strong.

This novel is a classic example of telling rather than showing. And even though I love music, the Jack Lukeman theme felt completely forced and hollow.

Wish I hadn't wasted my time on this one..,

"For Donal, and all the fans of Jack"

I love book book dedications. My fav part of the book

Fun fact: Well into the 18th century, the dedications were the way authors got paid for their work... that would not go down well now

I'm not sure hwat to make of this book. I really struggled to finish it and I felt it fell in between the genres of chic-lit and drama. Sigh. I couldn't relate to the female leads and they also confused me with their actions. Yeah, so, don't think I liked it...

I really enjoyed this. There are a lot of characters and inter-relationships to keep track of, but I thought it was a really good story which kept me hooked til the end.
