When you love the original so much, it's hard to like the sequel.

I don't understand how the first book was so good and the second one had such a big turn.
I wouldn't say it's bad, I still like the writing style with the rhythm, but it seems a bit more for older kids as they mentioned something about a g0n and unaliving the spots. I know it is just a metaphor, but I think it doesn't fit there, not in such a book, in a book with children audience. Specially as they really did have g0ns (pop g0ns aren't that real, but still) and tried 'k1lling' it off.
And also, the whole time it was just about a spot and the Cat not being able to take it of rightly. If that is shown to kids then I would be concerned that they do the same (smearing it off somewhere else instead of just taking a paper towel and removing it). The 'Voom' isn't a real cleaning product, so I stay with the opinion that children will learn it wrong to remove stains/spots as they won't be able to use 'Voom'.
The good parts about this book was that it teached the alphabet and not letting an intruder into your house. I also liked the colour choice, that only read was a visible colour in the book and everything else was black-and-white, not sure why but I like such things a lot.
It's a child's book so vocabulary should be minded and well-considered and it should teach a good and not bad lesson. The first book was fulfilling both, but now it's the other way around. I am a bit disappointed about it, honestly, I really liked the first book of this series.

Never really liked this book when I was a kid, didn't think it rhymed very well, and hated the cat, still not impressed re-reading it now!
