Loved this!!! Even better than the first, I can't wait to finish the trilogy.
Such an immersive and powerful Middle Grade novel, it serves to an age range that is sorely neglected in today's publishing. I would say this is upper Middle Grade, but I love it even for an adult reader. It's a series I hope to share with my children someday.

Another fantastic read with my daughter. We are loving this series. The Prelude really tees this book up and sets the stage for the tension that will provide the conflict for much of the book. We can’t wait to read the next one!
