A sweet romance between a broken paladin and a self-conscious perfumer set against an intriguing web of murders, mysteries, and political plotting. It was refreshing that the 2 main characters differed from common romance character tropes, and that their relationship builds off of healing past traumas. I loved the world of The White Rat, and want to read more.

I liked all the details about smells and perfumes! that was my fave part i think, it was sweet and the ending was satisfying enough! worth reading :) and I liked the mcs
