For what this book was, it was a 5 star read. I couldn't put it down long enough to eat my dinner let alone do anything else. I loved Valerian. From the moment he laid eyes on Shaye I was in love with him. He was vulnerable and a warrior.

The side plot with Brenna was very very sweet. The Nymphs certainly displayed a side not usually seen in mythology. Oh, to be mated!

I can't wait to read the Vampire Bride. Layel in his small part was brilliant. I loved him too. I may have a strange shipping of Valerian/Layel. You can't knock that.

This is pretty much the second strictly romance novel I’ve read in my life, but it’s probably one that’s going to set the standard for all other paranormal romances. I couldn’t put it down, so enthralled was I with Valerian and Shaye’s relationship, which was sexy, funny, and completely memorable. The ending felt perhaps a bit rushed due to its neatness and tie-in with earlier books in the series, but all in all, I was satisfied, and will most definitely be picking up Gena Showalter’s books for future romance reads.

This story was ok. At times I didn't like it much.

This was my favorite book out of the Atlantis series. This book holds your attention and is well written. Just the right amount of lust/drama/fighting. I would love to see more books in this series!

After a reread in 2021 removed it from my favorite romances and lowered the rating from 4 to 3 stars. Read so many better books in the last 12 years, this one is ... MEH now.

This book didn't really have very much in terms of plot, focusing more on smut instead. Also, I feel like Shaye wasn't the best character for a heroine. I feel like she could have been a bit more developed so she didn't come off as a bit rude and not-very-developed. Otherwise, this book was alright while it lasted.

this book is steam coming off the pages kind of read.
the nymph king Valerian, and that name....hellooo Valerian is hot enough already
Enjoyed my first book from Geno Showalter and it did not disappoint. She has a unique writing style and the words flow off the pages.
The story I am quite familiar but it did not stop this book from being hot. Some places seem redundant with all the hunky guys and sex. though it was undeniably off-walls sex...literally.
I love the additional storyline with Brenna and her guy. glimpses of the other characters like Layel the vampires and dragons all worked in.
Shaye and Valerian's book was a great read, and i look forward to reading more.
