Having recently read another true crime memoir, I was interested to see how this one worked the plots together. I found it quite a bit more edifying, and I really appreciated the afterword. It seemed very well researched on that side

This book evoked the time and place very well and told an interesting story. I liked that it was mostly nonjudgmental of the people involved. There was some perspective looking back but also included the thoughts and feelings of one of the authors as a child.

I liked the writing style. The author kept the book on track throughout. I don't think having Liza's story was necessary. She was too young and not really apart of Tony's life. Graphic murder description midway and swearing. Moderate discussions about sex.
