Quick, easy read. I continue to adore Babs (surprise!) and while this was good, it definitely felt like it was building towards something bigger.

I really like this iteration of Batgirl. Flawed and human, full of doubts, she is still tough and determined to confront evil to the best of her ability.

This is one of the times when being relatively new to these comics bites you in the ass: I was prepared to be all
Spoiler"what the hell happened with the owls and Gotham being lost?"
but it turns out that was part of another, larger story, so this was like a crossover and that storyline was unfinished on purpose. I was very confused when I turned to the next issue in the collection and found a new storyline/Big Bad.

I liked almost everything else about Knightfall Descends -- I especially loved the placement of Batgirl's origin story at the beginning of this book -- and I think I need to find more things written by Simone.

The Night of the Owls crossover in the middle really confused me when reading it (only googled it after I finished the book) and made me not like the book as much. I'm definitely going to re-read it in a couple of days now I know, but at the moment it's a 3,5/5 for me.

While I'm still somewhat bitter about New 52 (I know, it's been awhile, get over it), I do enjoy this series. I'm especially interested in the story line involving James Jr., which I assume will be handled more in the issues following these.

It's the strength of Barbara's inner voice that carries this comic. Her personality comes through so clearly, and I love that she's honest about how difficult things still are for her.. that she comes so close to losing, and that she has to use every drop she has left in the tank. She never gives up.

Knightfall was an OK villain, her henchmen were kind of lame though. James Gordon Jr rocks up and I had no idea he was evil/a serial killer, so that took me by surprise! Interested to see what he gets up to in the next volume. This is also the first time that I, and Barbara, meet Batwoman. She doesn't say much but she seems pretty cool.

These are still pretty underwhelming. I love Barbara Gordon. I want these to be better.
