I'm not becoming an Interior Designer but I love reading about it anyway. This book is definitely filled with lots of advice and is helpful in hearing the author's story.

It was okay. I enjoyed the somewhat more in-depth look at a design firm, though I still wish there had been more details. There were also some random history and background bits that actually had nothing to do with the career and I was confused about why they were included.

I think it would have been a lot more effective if the author had also been an interior designer herself, but she's not.

I purchased a few of the Masters at Work series for our library. I really enjoyed reading this one and learned quite a lot. The writing is excellent and this short tell-all can be read in one sitting .

My concerns are this: (1) there is no index for students to access information like salary, college degree, etc. or a glossary (2) there are not enough photos and/or only having photos in the center of the book defers the excitement of seeing the final product being explained elsewhere in the book and (3) this really is not written for middle schoolers. High school, maybe.

I'm glad to have these titles but they may prove less enticing and useful to students than I originally thought.
