I normally do not find the movie better then the book but in this case I did. Even though it was interesting it just didn't capture me as the movie. Which for me is very odd to say I like the movie over the book even if I saw the movie first.

Would I read the book again most likely not. I would only read it if my nephew or niece wanted me to read it but I would try and talk them into reading something else for them.

Fun and a little spooky season taste for the hot summer days. Ready to watch Angela Lansbury in the movie.

I remember loving this movie as a child but after reading the book I'm realizing that I either remember VERY little about the actual plot or the movie is vastly different from the book (or books as apparently Bedknob & Broomstick was originally two books). I thought the stories were interesting but something in the writing fell flat for me and it took me awhile to finish reading.

I'd never come across this book, or should I say two stories, although I've always been a fan of the Disney film. I read it one cold evening curled up in front of the fire and what a delightful, fun read it was. A children's book for all ages.

For those of you who have seen the film you will find the stories, although containing the same characters, are different from Disney's interpretation. There are no fighting suits of armour repelling Nazi invaders, no football playing talking animals but nonetheless they definitely captured the flavour of these lovely books.

Not like the movie at all. Quite boring. The movie was better.
