I love Amy’s work. She is one of, if not my actual, favorite poets in Philly. Her writing is accessible but not empty, dry and witty but also honest and full of emotional depth, full of hurt but also healing. She has a careful measure of both cynicism and radical hope. As a trauma survivor and romantic I have really related to this work but I think most people could find something here to touch their hearts. Please buy this book or ask your local librarian to order it. It’s so good.
