This is the first fairy tail retelling that I’ve read. While it was an okay book, and took its own direction, this is part of why I don’t often read retellings. Either they take too many liberties or they just are so predictable. This book was a bit predictable, but in all a lovely read.

This book, while being an amazing story line, is very fast paced. For 300+ pages this book seems to skip a lot of important things like training. Instead of training the princess kind of overcomes her fear by snapping out of it every time. I would have liked a lot more of those holes to have been filled. Otherwise the storyline and characters are great and loveable.

As far as the romance side of the story goes it also moves quite quickly. Not much burn or even very much “get to know you” they fall in love utterly fast. Now I do love them together, but I do wish there was a bit more. The personalities and the things that have happened to them  should have caused a bit more of a riff or healing time, but they bounce in baby.

A Snow White retelling. Has a good premise, I just feel like it didn't quite get where it needed to to be great. Some plot holes and unexplained world building issues for me.

The plot went too fast & felt rushed. People meet, fall madly in love & are in the bedroom in a matter of a couple chapters. I don’t mind a retelling of a classic story, but this was not a good one. Couldn’t deal with the storyline rushing through plot and details.

I almost didn’t finish this. I’m all for retellings but this left so much to be wanted. The relationships were rushed and the main character stars out great but losses all individually once she meets the mmc

I received this as an ARC from Booksirens for an honest review. I liked the premise of this story, as it was a Snow White retelling. There was magic, fae, shifters, and humans in this world which are all things I love! Ash and Snow are our main characters and love interests. They were really cute, although I do feel as if their story was really quick and almost an instalove story, which is a trope I don't like but it doesn't take away from the plot. I liked the plot of the story and her Snow avenging her kingdom. She really came into her own throughout the story and had an awesome team behind her! I'm excited to see where this story goes in a sequel.

I was provided a gifted copy of this title for free by the author and am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I love a good retelling, and this take on Snow White was a fast paced, intriguing and unique one to say the least- but I’m coming to learn that’s something to expect with this author!

I really enjoyed this first title in the Cursed Kingdom series, as well as its follow up, Steel and Stone!

Thank you so much to both the author and R&R Book Tours for the gifted copy.
