Not the best on the library shelves. I'm not a huge fan of end-of-the-world or Armageddon tales, so this one didn't really stand a fair chance. I remember this one being pretty simplistic, to the point where it hardly seemed like challenge.

Ok this book delves into religon and faith. I mean it really does. It was an amazing book and even though its told by two people it melds amazingly. Because of the Fact you hear the same story from both Marina and Jed whom both have there own reasons for being on the mountain, you also see them both question there faith and if the world is actually going to end, as well as fall in love. This book in all truth left me wanting more on the note of Marina and Jed's Relationship but It ended well all in all.

This had an interesting construction of he said/she said to tell the story, but unfortunately I'm a little too elderly for the OMG! He's so CUTE! bits of the story.

Read this as a kid and it stuck with me so I wanted to reread it to see if it was as bad as I remembered. It was worse. Like reading a B movie.

I read this book back in middle school and remembered liking it a great deal, so I thought I would try reading it again as an adult. I still like the book. The whole premise of the kids being in a cult and preparing for the end of the world is interesting. There were times in the novel when the prepping was tiresome to read and I wanted a little more action, but overall it’s a good book to read.

This was a very interesting book. I didn't think I was going to like it as much as I did. It took an interesting twist on religion. It ended in a way that I didn't expect.

At first I will admit I was kind of skeptical about it all, just the craziness of everything. The fact the Reverend -Beelson- convinced all of these people to believe all of his craziness....unbelievable. I like the way Jed and Marinas love was innocent they didn't once kiss. It they still felt for each other and it was just really sweet.

I love YA books that treat kids as human beings. This is Jane Yolen, so I expected good things, but I was still pleasantly surprised. Topics like faith, belief, and what to do when parents fail you.
