Audible version: This short story does a pretty good job of showing how decisions about life are made with such idealism, but inevitably we continue to change and often outgrow the very thing we had jumped the last ship for.

Started with this fabulous dinner party where a woman makes the decision to leave her husband.  But this novella ends up being quite unsettling, with the conversations and meetings, and how relationship decisions are made and how they unfold over a couple of decades.

Beautifully written.
