I loved how all the stories were woven together— even the whale plot line, which I at first found a bit jarring, became a wonderful addition to a story about grief, loss, burden, love, and relationships.

The prose was beautiful, the story was just fine. The story line with the whale was far more compelling than any of the actual characters or their problems/lives
