I'm not really sure why I stepped away from the HOT series. Probably because of the job situation, but this book served to remind me how much I enjoyed other books.
I both read and listened to the audiobook of Kev
and Lucky's story. This was a fast paced read full of sexual tension, action, romance, danger, and suspense.
Lucky's fear and anxiety was almost palpable. I spent a lot of time holding my breath waiting for things to play out.
I am going to have to find a list of the HOT series books in reading order. I think I remember where I left off, but I am definitely going to pick this series up again.
I also really enjoyed Aiden Snow's narration of this book. I honestly think he took the emotional aspect of the book up a notch or two.
Lucky and Kevin got their HEA, and I appreciated the epilogue at the end.

Each HOT book only gets better
Ms. Harris has another hit with this newest addition to the Hostile Operations Team. In this story, we get to read about Lucky and Kevin. They must find Al Ahmad who kidnapped Lucky once before and was thought to be dead. Somehow he escaped and is back again to try taking over a country who mines uranium. The HOT team goes undercover to take him down all while Lucky and Kevin fall in love.

This is only the second book in the HOT series i have read and although the other was good this one was much better and reminded me of kaylea cross whose military books are always enjoyable full of action and great characters. Its a shame this was'nt the first in the series as you got to know all the HOT team better and learn what there roles are but l will certainly continue to read more from this series in the future.

Lucky is such a great character! She's trying hard to deal with a very difficult past when she's asked to deal with an even tougher future. Enter Kev and things get more complicated. A great read!
