If you like historical fiction this is a story about a girl finding herself pregnant at a young age. Her child is taken away without her consent. We hear what she goes through and what her child goes through. I felt that it was interesting but at times hard to follow with French and English politics. But still enjoyed it overall.

This book is going to haunt me. So well written and raw, and hard to read cause of all the horrible topics that are dealt with but without it scaring me off. Definitely watch out for the triggers for this one if you're thinking about reading it!!
