Bar owner Ace (H) finds his place in the Mustang Mountain community and is none two pleased when Ruby makes him the August man of the month. Everly (h) comes to town to temporarily fill in for the local vet and meets Ace her first night in town. The two feel a connection and things heat up quickly between the two, but Everly shuts things down when she realizes he’s a Mustang Mountain Riders biker, part of the same group her father belongs to, the father she hopes to reconnect with. A box full of kittens and possible danger sees the pair spending time together and they realize they want more with one another. Sweet mountain man, scarred veteran romantic quickie with some minor angst see another Mustang Mountain man finding love.

It was so sweet to see this crossover between these amazing mountain men and Oakside one of my favorite places. Ace and Everly meet one night and immediately hit it off that they share an incredibly hot night together. The next morning when Everly sees Ace’s patch she takes off and it leaves Ace confused and a little hurt because what they shared was more than a one night kind of thing. When they run into each other again truths are revealed and the tension is high, but when Everly needs help Ace is the one that answers. The chemistry between these two was off the charts and the feelings are instant, but can Ace let Everly have her independence and still protect her and will Everly choose to stay in Ace’s life? A quick and loving story that leaves you wanting everyone else’s stories.

This was a cute grumpy sunshine romance. It was a short story with a fast pace. Ace and Everley had an instant attraction but then they encountered an unexpected obstacle but I liked the way the got to a HEA.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
