This is a book that will transport you to your childhood dreams and wanderings- one that will sweep you away to Ashdown forest where Milne was inspired to write books that shaped so many childhoods. Every minute I spent reading this I felt like I was in England- walking trails and roads and watching both Christopher Robin and his father growing up. Ms Aalto did a beautiful job capturing the beauty of both books and place, and how one would not exist without the other! Fair Warning- this book will leave you wanting to explore the farm and forest for yourself!!

This was such a delightful book to read! I’ve been cooped up at home doing homework. I was craving something cute, light, and something that involves travel (since I’m stuck here!). The Natural World of Winnie the Pooh was the perfect pick to satisfy my itches. There was some organization/repetition issues but not enough to bother me or knock off a star. I loved the writing style and friendly tone of the author, as well as the lovely pictures and inclusion of illustrations from the WTP books. The first part of the book is basically a biography of AA Milne and how he wrote the books, the second part is about navigating Ashdown Forest which inspired WTP, and lastly there is a section on the wildlife and plants.
