The good stories were really good, the bad stories were really bad. Ultimately kind of forgettable, retreading worn tropes and not reaching for anything new. I wish it had more bite to it, and kept a more consistent tone.

I really love Amber Sparks' work and this one does not disappoint. This is a collection of short stories with fantastical elements exploring womanhood. As with many short story collections, some stories are a little stronger than others, but the theming is strong throughout so they all feel connected.
