This is one of my favorite books. Watership Down should not be dismissed as a mere tale for children. The richness of symbolism and depth of the story suggests otherwise. The narrative delves into profound themes, from commenting on humanity’s brutal tendencies and detachment from nature to the different societies of the rabbits mirroring our own. It's one of those you can read over and over and get something new out of it every time.

This was the first true novel I've ever read and it has a special place in my heart. I loved it so much and it was such a good story. The characters were all so interesting and entertaining. It's hard to pick a favorite but I'd have to say Bigwig was my favorite rabbit out of the bunch. This is definitely one of my favorite books of all time & I'd read it all over again.
