My new favorite book. Such good characters and tense moments with powerful allegorical messages.

Un livre quasiment parfait.

It's a book about rabbits on a journey. If that doesn't intrigue you, then skip this one. if it does, then I can tell you this is probably the best rabbit story ever written (and yes I've read others). almost not published because it was 'too grown up for kids and too childish for adults', this book has a world of its own, with a whole mythology of rabbits, and great themes of courage, pride, cleverness, and most of all comradarie. I loved it.

this is a story that I re-read periodically. I can't remember how old I was when I first read it, probably in grammar school.
I enjoy the characters. The story. The interactions.
I'm listening to it on mp3 player this time, and it still keeps my interest.

What an extraordinary story full of trickery! "Many human beings say that they enjoy winter, but what they really enjoy is feeling proud against it"
