Stuff like this honestly pisses me off, because the author just oozes creativity and naturally has a good storytelling ability. He apparently out this story together while in a long car ride, just to keep his daughters occupied. The entire story is phenomenal: I was so thoroughly invested. I honestly don’t have a single critique of this book. I’m very excited to watch the show, but doubt it can live up to the book.
There were a lot of scenes that could easily be seen as allegory, however the author has states it wasn’t really his intention. He pulled from a lot of other famous stories, so perhaps some of their original meanings seeped in.
