Violet became even more idiotic, especially towards the end of the book. She was extremely whiny and immature with everyone around her. Rafe is my favorite character and even though The Last Echo told us more about his life I still want to know more. I think Rafe should take over narrating the rest of the series since his stories would be far more interesting than Violet's.
The suspense had me hooked! Although I must say that I enjoyed reading Caine's entries more than Violet's.

This is my favorite book of the series by far--Violet's grown into herself, the stakes were a lot higher, and the mystery a lot creepier. The only reason I can't bring myself to give it a full 4 stars is because of the completely unnecessary love triangle.

So good, favorite one! only thing i didn't like was that it was about Rafe alot of the time, but still a great read.
